Biostar stellt TP67XE (Intel P67) vor

Im Gegensatz zu Intels Prozessoren der "Sandy Bridge"-Generation sind die passenden Mainboards bereits auf dem Markt. Ein Beispiel hierfür ist das Modell TP67XE von Biostar, welches auf Intels P67 Chipsatz basiert. Diese Hauptplatine unterstützt SATA 6 Gb/s und USB 3.0, ihre Audio-Lösung wurde THX TruStudio Pro zertifiziert.

Wird eine PCIe-Grafikkarte verwendet, stehen ihr 16 Lanes der zweiten Generation zur Verfügung. Alternativ kann man auch zwei Grafikkarten verbauen, welche dann mit jeweils 8 Lanes angebunden sind. Biostars TP67XE unterstützt hierbei AMDs CrossFire, aber nicht NVIDIAs SLI. Die Stromversorgung des Prozessors übernimmt ein Spannungswandler mit zehn Phasen, der Arbeitsspeicher verfügt über eine eigene Phase. Mit "BIO-Remote2" lassen sich Smartphones von Apple und auf Android-Basis als WiFi-Fernsteuerung für den PC verwenden, Biostars "Charger Booster" beschleunigt das Aufladen von Apple-Geräten am USB-Anschluss.
