ATi Catalyst 5.12 verfügbar

Das monatliche Update des Catalyst Grafiktreiberpaketes vom kanadischen Hersteller ATi ist da. Mit der Version 5.12 setzt ATi nun voll und ganz auf das Catalyst Controll Center, die Varianten ohne CCC sind weggefallen.

Kann man den Dreck nicht beim Installieren abwählen, hatte bisher auch nicht das Bedürfniss diesen Mist benutzen zu müssen. Zumal, in einem Damaligen Versuch, die TV-Ausgabe noch nicht sauber war (bzw. die Parameter im Control-Centrum, abgesehen davon war das damals noch eher mager eingedeutscht).

Mann sollte es (leider) benutzen. Ich finds zwar auch fett, aber z.B. im A.I. sind auch viele Bugfixes enthalten und es sollte Low (Standart) mitlaufen.

Was mich stört ist die zusätzliche Sekunde bis der CCC geöffnet wurde. Beim Testen von Hardware ist das ein Krampf :-(

Seitdem ich den 5.12er installierte, hat sich mein Rechner in Spielen (BF2 und CS:S) regelmäßig aufgehängt. Manchmal wurde nur die Graka von VPU-Recover zurückgesetzt, meistens verabschiedete sich aber der komplette Rechner.

Hab jetzt den 5.10er wieder drauf, Kiste läuft stabil.

Ich hab seit dem 3.5er Catalyst (bis 5.2 mit ner 9700 Pro, jetzt mit einer X800 XL) nahezu jede Version ausprobiert, aber sowas ist mir noch nicht passiert. :?

Beim Start sehe ich das Windowsstartlogo auf einer 9800 Pro mit dem 5.12 jetzt mit 16 Farben... Naja, eher 4. Aber die wechseln :?

Ich bekam beim Umschalten des weissen Windows 2000 Bild auf das Standardwindowsgrün beim Anmeldebildschirm immer einen schönen Pixelbrei serviert, für ca. ne Sekunde. Nach der Erstinstallation ist mir dabei erstmal das Herz in die Hose gerutscht.

Jetzt hab ich das nicht mehr.
