Für die Tests hätte man die Mainboards Gigabyte GA-EP35-DS3L und ASUS P5K-SE EPU verwendet. Somit wurden zwei vergleichbar ausgestattete Hauptplatinen auf Basis des Intel P35/ICH9 Chipsatzes miteinander verglichen, wobei das ASUS P5K SE/EPU bereits seit einigen Monaten auf dem Markt ist und sich für das Gigabyte GA-EP35-DS3L während unserer Preisrecherche kein einziger Anbieter finden ließ. Tatsache ist, dass Gigabyte die Phasen des Spannungswandlers dank DES in feineren Schritten zu- und abschalten kann, als ASUS dies bisher bei seiner P5K-Serie getan hat.

While GIGABYTE would like to express regret over any confusion this situation may have caused our competitor’s customers, we do stand by our statements and testing report 100%, and eagerly await our competitor to clarify the issues we raised in order to avoid any further confusion.
